Well been a while since we wrote anything in here. Matthew is growing every day and we are constantly being tought that Matthew is his own person that has his own thoughts and ideas. Today something of note did happen. Before shower time Matthew made his pee-pee in his own potty, mom prompting of course. Our little guy is getting more and more independent every day.
Wake up 0620: Dispite going to bed later last night 20:30, Matthew slept no better, actually it was basicaly worse. After his mid-day nap things went better. We had a bunch to do this afternoon. Matthew had fun climbing up and down stairs at two different houses today. We also made a trip to the zoo today for the 'christmas for the animals' event. (our mistake was the canned food aspect) Matthew had fun requardless and we all got to see Apun out playing. We went to Denise's house for dinner with her and Mike before they will be off on more trips over the holiday. Matthew had fun but got fussy / tired towards the end of the visit. Wake up 0620: Early trip to the river walk for Matthew and mom today. Matthew was a bit more used to the surroundings so he was smiley from the start. Matthew has had a runny nose for a bit now. Its clear so could be just teething (thats what we are hoping). Reguardless it is very bothersum to him during sleep as well as awake. [ naps: 1 ] [ bed AT 1940 ]
Wake up 0620: Early trip to the river walk for Matthew and mom today. Matthew was a bit more used to the surroundings so he was smiley from the start. Matthew has had a runny nose for a bit now. Wake up 0620: Matthew is getting ever more steady in his stepping. He is starting to take more and more steps in a row. He is starting to want to try and get somewhere via his feet. This evening he started stacking blocks. He was able to get a few stacked but then it would toppel and he would mess them up untill we prompted him to do it again. Matthew and mom visited at book-club for a while and did some shopping in conjunction with that trip. Matthew got to see some other little people while at book club as well. This item seems to build his confidence in walking. Once he was back home he took 6 steps in a row. He had great fun trying to play with what other kids were playing with during his time there. Wake up 0740: Matthew had a rough night so the sleep in was worth it for him. He kept having burping issues throughout the night. Mother is making note to not feed him so many carbs. at evening meal. Today was busy with shopping and weekly errinds. Matthew got to visit with Santa at the toy store. They also met the Faso-Formoso bunch there and invited them back for grilled cheese at our place. Matthew seems to have picked up a runny nose. This might be teething again but not determined yet. [ naps: 1 ] [ bed AT 1935 ]
Wake up 0600: Matthew might be returning to his normal schedule. Today we hung around the house and finished up some chors left over from yesterday. Matthew had fun breaking into various 'baby proof' furnature items we have here. We went to the church christmas party this afternoon. Matthew got to see some real live horses and he went on his first sleigh ride. It was fun because Matthew was constently trying to watch the horses up front. [ naps: 1 (2hr) ] [ bed AT 1930 ]
Wake up 0735: We convinced Matthew to sleep in a bit this morning. Matthew had a fun and relaxing day hanging around the house with Grandpa and Aunt Eileen and us today. We managed to stay busy playing with the house animals. Trying to catch them mostly. Matthew enjoied going outside a few times to watch Grandpa put up the christmas lights and enjoy the sun and fairly warm weather. We also went on a walk today and Matthew took a nap while we walked around town. This evening Matthew on 2 or 3 occasions took multiple steps towards a person or object. This is quite exciting. Wake up 0705: Today was Matthews first Thanksgiving day. He seemed to enjoy him self very much. We had a bit more cooking to do in the early day and Matthew of course joined right in. He was able to play again on the floor with Aunt Eileen for quite a bit of this commotion. A family friend Marry Renolds visited for our meal and Matthew enjoied another new face. Matthew seems to find himself right at home here in these surroundings. We went out to view some birds outside this afternoon and to watch Frosty dog run around a bit. Matthew's schedul seems to have adjusted to MT time. This took roughly 2 days by our figuring. Matthew keeps quite busy in these new surroundings yet he seems to know his limits (sort-of). It is fun to watch him be comfortable with his extended family and play and climb on them as he does his parents. [ naps: 1 (1hr30m) ] [ bed AT 2010 ]
Wake up 0735: Last night was a very restless and sleepless night. Matthew could not wind down after the chaos of Grandma leaving and the phone ringing off the hook. Today Matthew helped out a great deal in the kitchen while we cooked dinner and began preperations for Turkey Day. Aunt Eileen and Matthew got to play quite a bit and this was fun to watch. Earlier in the day we went on another walk to the store in the rainy weather. Matthew was quite amazed at the umbrella above his head. Matthew is getting used to his surroundings here however he does not venture too far with out looking over his shoulder to see if its ok to go onward. Matthew is also getting alittle more used to the other 4 legged members of this house. [ naps: 1 (40m dog interupted) ] [ bed AT 1940 ]
Wake up 06:00 (MT): I finaly made it to Montana after a rough train ride. As my parents know I like to sleep laying down. I finally got this point through to them and the ride went much better after that point. Once we all arrived in Libby my Grandparents were super happy to see me. We ate an early breakfast and then once Aunt Eileen went to work I took an early nap. I had a fun day playing and exploring the new house I'll be staying at for a while. The dog and cat seem to alwayse run away from me when I want to play with them. I did get to try some new foods on my trip so far. Wake up 0745: After my first flight in a while I got to wake up and play some more with my uncle Nick and Zack. I spent some tiem learning the layout of uncle Nicks condo and his buildings. I had a fun firstvisit to Seattle. It was also great to see my uncles again dispite the bump I got from uncle Nicks table. [ naps: 1 ] [ bed: off to the train ]
Wake up 0630: Matthew is still learning the ups and downs of climbing on things. Matthew is making the switch to one nap a day for sure. Today mom tried twice to get him down in the AM then said ok its time to stop this. He took a nap after his noon meal. It is fun around the house in the evening. We mention 'time for a bath' and Matthew goes running (super fast crawling) for the bathroom. It is a fun time for him. [ naps: 1 (1.25hr) ] [ bed AT 1920 ]
Wake up 0710: Today mom and Matthew met Diana and her little ones for a walk around the mall. Mom decided it would be best to get the to-do's crossed off the list before they met Diana so Walmart and some mall stores were on the list (this was a good choice). Matthew also got to ride in a Baby-Bjorn for the first time. The reports from mom were this thing is top notch. Matthew was flattened by Sophia a few times while playing chase at the mall and he managed to get quite dirty while crawling around. Possibly switching to one nap. [ naps: 1 (1.5hr) ] [ bed AT 1930 ]
